Advising

We welcome all students in the Critical Languages Program--whether you have grown up listening to the melodies of your grandparents' native languages or are an absolute beginner, you are welcome.

If you have no experience with the language, you may directly enroll in 101.  If you have more experience, you should complete an informal placement meeting with the language tutor to ensure that you are placed correctly.

University advisors should always help you find ways to schedule your CLP class and support your language studies for as many semesters as you wish!

If you do not find a course offering at a time that fits your schedule, reach out to us at critlang@arizona.edu and we will do our best to accommodate!

Students in need of advising, whether academic or administrative, should speak with the Director of the Critical Languages Program, Dr. Suzanne Panferov Reese.
