For lessons you have created with MaxAuthor
When you install MaxBrowser3, the installer can optionally place a shortcut to MaxBrowser on your desktop. Double click on this shortcut and select File…Open. Select a MAX file. You can also customize the shortcut so it automatically starts a particular lesson by right clicking on the shortcut.
To use MaxBrowser3 with a Critical Languages CD-ROM
Start MaxBrowser, select File…Open from the main menu, and select the file welcome.max on the CD-ROM. This will bring up the welcome page for the CD-ROM. You can customize the MaxBrowser shortcut on your desktop so it automatically starts with this file.
Limitations
- You must have admin rights to install.
- Not all of the 47 languages supported by MaxAuthor 2.5 are supported by MaxBrowser3 yet.
- For Chinese, we can no longer display Pinyin Romanization underneath the Chinese characters.
- Tabs and spaces may appear differently, so some tables that rely on these may not look exactly as they did in previous versions. This will be fixed in future versions.
